Rhode Island Novelty® merchandise is not intended for use by children under 5 years of age.

In August of 2008, Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSIA) into law. The main focus of this law is to insure that children's products are certified based on tests affirming they comply with current federal regulations, and to establish an audit trail to track/recall merchandise that may not be safe or comply with current regulations.

All products manufactured after November 12, 2008 must comply with a new set of safety standards as it pertains to the lead paint ban, small parts requirements, and a number of other guidelines.

The main goal is a new level of safety for our consumers. In the next three years, new guidelines will come into effect, and Rhode Island Novelty® is firmly committed to meeting or exceeding the new standards. As of now, we are in compliance with all federal laws, and will continue to be compliant with all guidelines as they change in the future.

In the interest of staying on top of all regulations, portions of our merchandise will be out of stock at certain times for the purpose of rigorous inspection at testing facilities. We appreciate your patience as we strive to be ahead of the curve in this endeavor.

Rhode Island Novelty® is committed to bring you a safe product as well a fun product. To comply with CPSIA rules and regulations, we are required to provide a General Conformity Certificate (GCC) for our items.

As each "new" standard becomes effective over the time frame required by the CPSIA, Rhode Island Novelty® will continue to meet or exceed such standard at each required date.

Do know that all products shipped to you from Rhode Island Novelty have always and will continue to be compliant to all federal laws, rules, & regulations that are in effect at the time of shipment. While we are confident all the products we ship are compliant, if it comes to our attention that any product that we shipped you, was not compliant to the federal laws and regulations in effect at the time of shipment we will notify you of such non-compliance and arrange for return of such non-compliant product.
